MEDECOS XII - Linking Science with Resource Management - Registration Now Open

The international MEDECOS Conference will be held September 6-9, 2011, in Los Angeles at the Covel Commons Conference Center on the UCLA campus.

UCLA'si Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, UCLA La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science & Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve are pleased to announce that registration is now open for MEDECOS XII - LOS ANGELES, CA - 2011

The international MEDECOS Conferences on the ecology, biodiversity, and conservation of the world'si five Mediterranean climate ecosystems began in 1971 in Valdivia, Chile. This year will mark the 40th Anniversary of this conference at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Who Should Attend?
MEDECOS XII is open to participants with an interest in ecology, biodiversity, and conservation of Mediterranean-climate ecosystems.
STUDENT PARTICIPATION HIGHLY ENCOURAGED

Please email MEDECOSXII@ioes.ucla.edu if you would like to volunteer in organizing ai session. For session participation, please include your topic preference.

The MEDECOS XII local organizing committee is ai consortium of research units and resource managers including the UCLA Instititute of the Environment, UCLA La Kretz Center for California Conservation Science, UCLA Stunt Ranch Santa Monica Mountains Reserve, U.Si. National Park Service, the U.Si. Geological Survey, University of California Natural Reserve System, U.Si. Forest Service and the Irvine Ranch Conservancy.
